So, I have had a few bumps in the road during my first week at Sandridge.I had one nurse refer to me as a five year old child when talking to a doctor so loudly that I heard her from my room which is about 20 feet away from where she was at at the nurses station. Another incident I had with a different nurse; I had been given 4 tablets of a medication when I normally get 6 tablets and so I asked her nicely why there were only 4 pills in the cup she gave to me and she said ” Stop micromanaging me”. Also, it took a long time to get all my medications because I arrived on Friday at 6pm. So, I suggest arriving on a weekday morning so you get your meds right away. There were bright spots too. Denise, the charge nurse is great. Talmitch and the Director were both very dedicated to making sure my experience changed for the better. The physical therapist was great. He is very experienced and has been working in nursing homes for 20 years. He was just fantastic. Also the grilled cheeses are great. You have to place a special request for the grilled cheeses which was easy to do. They are really trying hard to make sure I am treated with respect now and I really appreciate that.

The nurses, CNA’s, therapy and all staff are great with me, enabling me to get better to return home. Great care!
